Teens Sentenced To Life With Mercy

WEST VIRGINIA....

Jimmy Thompson and Michael Thompson, who are not related, were each sentenced Tuesday to life in prison with mercy, making both eligible for parole in 15 years. Each pleaded guilty in June to the first degree murder of 51 year old James Gillespie which occurred in his South Charleston home in November 2009. Jimmy Thompson said that he had been high on drugs at the time, and that Gillespie had given them alcohol. Police say Gillispie was beaten, strangled, kicked, stabbed more than 70 times and had bleach poured over his body. Gillispie's brother says his body was removed from the home in two body bags. After the murder, the men took prescription drugs, a pistol, a PlayStation and Gillespie's iPhone and car keys.
