Utility Assistance Program Taking Applications
WEST VIRGINIA....
The West Virginia Utility Assistance Program is providing grants to households needing help with their electric, gas and water bills. The program, administered by the Dollar Energy Fund, started accepting applications for assistance Friday. Requests will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted. In the past two years the program has provided more than $2.3 million to 8,500 low-income West Virginia families. Eligibility guidelines and application instructions for this year’s program can be found at www.dollarenergyfund.org. The Dollar Energy Fund is a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit that has provided over $70 million in grants to more than 255,000 low-income households.
