Knott County Trail Ride A Big Winner
KENTUCKY...
Thousand of people from all over Kentucky and the surrounding states made their way to Knott County with their horses to enjoy the Knott County trail ride. This is the fourth year the weekend-long event has taken place and officials say it gets bigger every year.
There were camps set up for miles at the Knott County trail ride. Everywhere you went people were riding horses, walking around and just having a good time.
"It's just good, clean, wholesome family fun. It's about people getting together and socializing that have common interests. They enjoy the outdoors, the beautiful weather," said Randy Thompson, the Knott County Judge Executive.
The scenery also seems to draw people in.
But most people come for the horse trails.
The trail ride may focus on horseback riding, but there's plenty to do for people who don't have horses. There are vendors and booths set up, food and even live music at night.
Officials say this year's event is the biggest one to date. The trail ride officially started on Friday, but officials say people started showing up days in advance.
