Fatal Shooting In Pike County
KENTUCKY....
Police in Pike County say a man and woman are dead after an apparent murder/suicide at a grocery store Monday morning.
The incident happened at about 6:45 a.m. at Johns Creek Grocery on Bent Branch Road at Meta. Police say they responded to a call of a possible armed robbery in progress. When they arrived, State Police say they discovered Jeanetta Leedy, 38, and Jimmy R. Leedy, 44, deceased inside the business. Police say evidence at the scene indicated that Jimmy Leedy came into the business, where his wife worked. armed with a pistol. Jimmy Leedy fired a shot, striking Jeanetta Leedy, and then turned the weapon on himself, taking his own life.
