West Virginia Voter Registration Up
WEST VIRGINIA....
Between June 28th and August 9th, nearly 6,000 people registered to vote in West Virginia...a rate not seen since the 2008 presidential election when 5,876 registered. That number includes 2,062 Democrats, 1,538 Republicans, 2,029 with no party affiliation and 179 who registered as members of the Mountain Party or another political party. West Virginia has about 1.2 million registered voters, and registration applications still are arriving at the Secretary of State's Office time stamped on or before August 9th. A special Senate election is August 28th.
