U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller Vows Social Security Support
WEST VIRGINIA....
In honor of the 75th birthday of Social Security, U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller released a statement Friday saying Social Security plays an important role in the lives of over 436,000 West Virginians. Rockefeller, a senior member of the Finance Committee, the panel that oversees Social Security, vowed he would never turn his back on the program or the many West Virginians who benefit from its creation each and every day. He says actions must be taken to strengthen and protect Social Security.
