Riverside Days In Whitesburg
KENTUCKY...
Thousands of people are expected to participate in the 16th annual Riverside Days Festival in Whitesburg.
The three-day event will be held Aug. 19-21 at Riverside Park. It began 16 years ago as the Jenkins Days Festival, and festival committee members decided to move to Riverside Park four years ago because it is bigger than the previous venue.
Come out and enjoy the food booths or come and enjoy the climbing wall or bungee jump. There will be plenty of things for the kids to do. It’s a free evening to come out and enjoy good music and friends.
Food and craft booths open each day at the park at 11 a.m. and grand opening ceremonies will be held on Aug. 19 at 5 p.m., followed by numerous local performers who will be singing country, bluegrass, gospel and rock-and-roll music. Several games, including a climbing wall and bungee jump game, will be open in the park.
Admission to all concerts and the festival grounds is free of charge. Headlining the event this year is country music star Daryle Singletary, who will perform Aug. 21 at 9:30 p.m.
