Gov. Beshear Announces Grant For Non-Profits

Governor Steve Beshear announced today that the Kentucky Nonprofit Leadership Initiative (NLI) has been awarded a $250,000 federal grant. The grant is designed to help nonprofits continue to provide services through the economic downturn. Funds will be used to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations to address broad economic recovery issues in their communities, including helping low-income individuals secure and retain employment, earn higher wages, obtain better-quality jobs and gain greater access to state and federal benefits and tax credits.
