Winter Storm Report
KENTUCKY & WEST VIRGINIA
There's little doubt the weather leads the news. Eastern Kentucky and southern West Virginia were blanketed with snow from the winter storm that dumped up to 16 inches of the white stuff since Friday. Several inches of snow fell in Pike County, leaving roads treacherous.
Road crews were at work, attempting to keep roadways passable. Complicating the issue is the nature of the storm...intermittent periods of snowfall...no sooner are stretches of highways cleared than another snowfall covers everything again. All this ceaseless clearing has been played out under bone-chilling temperatures.
