"Adopt-A-Highway" Cleanup Program Gearing Up
It's time for "Adopt-A-Highway" groups to do what they do so well. Volunteers will be out in force September 20-26th. to tidy up roadways in Highways District 12 which includes, Lawrence, Johnson, Martin, Floyd, Knott, Pike and Letcher counties. The "Adopt-A-Highway" program was established in 1988. Concerned volunteer groups clean approximately 8,000 miles annually in Kentucky.
