Trapped Mingo County Miners Walk Out Safely
Seven coal miners who were trapped inside the Mountaineer Alma A Mine in Gilbert of Mingo County since entering for the third shift at 10:00 P.M. Friday night walked out of the mine safely just before 6:00 A.M. Sunday morning. A pump malfunction had caused a dip in the man-trip road to fill with water. The company pumped water all day Saturday.
