Kentucky Attorney General Sues Telemarketers

At the request of Attorney General Jack Conway, a restraining order has been issued to stop Nevada-based telemarketing firms from making alleged deceptive auto warranty calls in the state of Kentucky. Conway filed a consumer protection lawsuit against SMV Inc., Fortress Secured Inc. and their principal owner, Mike Bruce Moneymaker, for allegedly making the calls to Kentuckians on the "Do Not Call" list. To report a "No Call" violation, call the Consumer Protection Division at (866) 877-7867 and request a complaint form or file online at www.nocall.ky.gov.
