Former Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter Board Member Charged With Animal Cruelty
A former member of the Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter board, Jennifer Adkins, has been charged with 22 counts of animal cruelty and 3 counts of endangering a minor. Authorities say they found 13 dogs and a cat inside her home in Corbin and 7 dogs in cages and a goat outside, and both locations filled with urine and feces. Adkins' daughters, ages 17, 15 and 12, were removed from the home.
