Medical Examiner Attempting To Identify Skeletal Remains Found In Pike County
Pikeville KSP Post 9 and the state Medical Examiner's Office are attempting to identify human skeletal remains found Thursday night in a wooded area of Ridge Line Road near Kimper. After a dog was discovered carrying a human skull in its mouth, detectives and forensic experts searched the area and found other bones over an embankment. The remains have been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification. Investigators say it could take a few weeks to determine the identity and cause of death.
