Federal Funding To Update Flood Maps
The federal Emergency Management Agency is providing $5 million in federal funds to help update flood maps in counties, including Pike, Boyd, Greenup and Magoffin along with others. The updated Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps will track actual risk more closely and assist new development and rebuilding efforts.
