Convicted Drug Dealer Sues Mingo County Judge

Robert "JJ" Warren of Williamson, who was found guilty Tuesday on two counts of drug related cocaine charges, is suing Mingo County Chief Judge Michael Thornsbury, the Mingo County Commission and the West Virginia Department of Highways. Thornsbury, who had previously set bond for Waren at $75,000 for drug charges, placed him on home confinement and ordered him to report to the "Judge's Work Program" every morning. The complaint states, on or about March 27th., Warren was struck on his right shin by a chainsaw being used by another worker. He suffered a deep cut requiring many stitches with possible damage to the bone. He's being represented by Latitia Neese Chafin of the H. Truman Chafin Law Firm. Latitia Chafin is the wife of Senate Majority Leader H. Truman Chafin. Thornsbury is set to sentence Warren in May.
