Florida To Kentucky Trafficking Ring Sentenced
Monday (today) was federal sentencing day for about a dozen people involved in an interstate drug trafficking ring which moved OxyContin pills by the thousands from Florida to Kentucky to be sold on the streets of eastern Kentucky. Prosecutors say Florida doctor Roger Browne admitted he illegally wrote prescriptions for 500 people who came to Florida from eastern Kentucky. Browne was sentenced to two and one-half years in prison. All others sentenced pleaded guilty to their involvement.
