Pike County Bus Service One Step Closer To Reality
Officials with Miller Trailways Bus Service met Wednesday with Pike County leaders to discuss a commercial bus service which would transport people from eastern Kentucky to Lexington and Louisville and return.
Pike County leaders say a study shows almost 90% of people in the area travel to Lexington for health care, business or education, and, many low-income either do not have a car or can not afford the gosoline for the 300 miles round trips.
Miller and Pike County officials say the project is one step closer to becoming a reality.
