Pike County Officials Prepare Stimulus Package
Pike County officials say, as President-Elect Obama is working on another stimulus package, they want money in eastern Kentucky. City and county agencies are working together to create a stimulus plan to submit to him when he takes office next week. Part of the plan includes money for projects to create jobs along with funds for projects already designed and road projects ready to start construction. Pikeville City Manager Donovan Blackburn says the package will be dispersed to make sure eastern Kentucky isn't forgotten.
