Mingo Countian First Ever To Be Named Head Of Shriners.
Williamson resident Sam Kapourales was recently named Potentate of the Beni Kedem Temple in Charleston. The 73 year-old has been a Shriner for 46 years. They are 10 active shrine clubs in West Virginia with approximately 3,000 members. Kapourlaes a longtime member of the Tug Valley Shrine Club says that members work diligently year round to raise money so they can transport children and there families to Shriners hospitals in Lexington and Cincinnati.
