Jackson County Escapees Captured
Freedom was short lived for three inmates who escaped Friday morning from the Jackson County Jail in McKee. Deputy Jailer Markie Baker says, when he went to check on inmates Wayne Maupin and Billy Farrar, he was overpowered, placed in handcuffs and left inside the cell. He says the men then freed female inmate Judy McQueen before escaping. All three were arrested just hours later without incident. Maupin and McQueen were arrested as they were leaving an abandoned trailer. Farrar turned himself in.
