Pike County Fiscal Court Recognizes Swim Team
Pikeville, Ky.— The Pike County Fiscal Court recognized the achievements of the Pikeville AquaSharks Swim Team at its meeting Tuesday, September 2.
The AquaSharks Swim team traveled to Lexington on July 19 and 20 to participate in the 2008 Bluegrass State Games. The six AquaShark swimmers who participated, all of whom are from Pike County, took home 12 medals.
“The success and accomplishment of the Pikeville Aquasharks Swim Team has brought great honor and attention to Pikeville and all of Pike County and the team has made Pike County proud,” Judge/Executive Wayne T. Rutherford told the swimmers.
