Coal Severance Taxes To Build Business Center
In an effort to attract high-tech companies and private sector employers, Martin County is spending $6-million in coal severance taxes to erect the Martin County Business Center.
The Center is expected to open next year. So far, no businesses have emerged to sign a lease. The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services will move its local office from a few hundred feet away into the building...tripling its current rent to $133, 192/year.
The Center is located in Inez.
