Food Tampering Incident in Knox County
Joreen Crawford, 27, a Barbourville food service worker, was sentenced Monday to a year of home incarceration after pleading guilty in May to tampering with a consumer product.
A U. S. District Judge in London sentenced her to time served, home incarceration and ordered her to pay $1200 in restitution. Crawford told authorities she placed a metal staple in a batch of meatloaf in January, 2007...hoping a co-worker would be blamed and get fired. A 3570-pound shipment of the meatloaf was recalled.
