WVU Senate Faculty Calls On President To Resign
By a vote of 77 – 19, West Virginia University’s Faculty Senate demanded Monday that President Mike Garrison resign in the wake of a degree scandal involving Governor Joe Manchin’s daughter.
Faculty discontent and outrage has grown since an independent panel concluded two weeks ago that administrators gave Heather Bresch a masters degree in business that she didn’t earn.
Several donors have withdrawn monetary gifts to the institution .
Garrison says that he won’t resign.
