Pike County Events For Older Americans Month.
PIKE COUNTY – In honor of an upcoming proclamation naming May, 2008 as Older Americans Month, Pike County has several activities planned at senior citizen centers.
Those events and dates are as follows:
May 14 – Elkhorn City Senior Center will hold a luncheon and health fair.
May 15 – Marrowbone Senior Center invites all those interested in attending picnic at Fishtrap Lake. There will also be a health fair at this event.
May 21 – A luncheon and health fair will be held at Pikeville and Shelby Valley Centers.
May 22 – Blackberry, McCarr and Belfry Senior Centers will host a picnic to be held at Blackberry Park.
May 23 – Organizers are planning a cookout at the Phelps Senior Center.
