Floyd County Drug Arrest.

A Floyd County resident wanted on drug trafficking charges faces additional charges after a sizeable quantity of drugs was found at his residence on Friday, May 2.
Jimmy Adams, age 56, of KY 680, McDowell, was arrested on a Floyd County indictment warrant by an Operation UNITE detective and two deputies with the Floyd County Sheriff¹s Office.

The warrant, issued after a six-month investigation, charges Adams with one count first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and two counts second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

After Adams¹ arrest, a search was conducted at the residence.
Police discovered approximately 777 pills a variety including Xanax, Methadone, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Diazepam and Klonopin with a street value of $8,300. In addition, police recovered $3,200 in cash and a handgun.

Adams was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
Additional charges resulting from the search will be presented to the Floyd County Grand Jury at a later date.
