Vote Buying Trial Continues
Testimony continued in the federal trial of Knott County secretary Tammy Brewer and her father Hoey Dobson.
The two are accused of perjury during an investigation into vote buying allegations conscerning the 2006 election involving Judge-Executive Randy Thompson. Prosecutors say brewer and dobson, among several others, had driveways paved using public money in exchange for supporting Thompson.
They face up to five years in prison if convicted. The trial is expected to wrap later this week. Thompson and three others are scheduled to go on trial in May.
