WV Man Accused Of Robbing KY Department Store Must First Serve Jail Time In Mingo County.

A Logan County man accused of robbing the South Williamson, Kentucky Dawahare’s at gunpoint was sentenced to serve 60 days in jail on a charge of assaulting a police officer. He was credited with 23 days served. The sentence was handed down by Mingo County Magistrate Judge Dee Sidebottom.

Charles Canterbury of Pecks Mill was captured three weeks ago as he appeared in Mingo County Magistrate Court on other charges. After he serves his jail term in West Virginia he will then have to deal with the legal system in Pike County.
