WV Jobless Rate Announced.
Workforce West Virginia announced that the state’s unemployment rate for January climbed seven-tenths of a percent to 5.2 %.
Both Mingo and Logan counties saw an increase of three-tenths of a percent to 5.2 %.
Wayne County saw a dramatic 1.2 % increase to 5.8 %.
McDowell’s climbed to 7.3 % an increase of half of a percent.
The county with the highest jobless figure is Calhoun at 10.8 %. The lowest Monongalia 2.9 %.
