Unemployment Rises In Fifty of West Virginia's Fifty-Five Counties.
West Virginia’s unemployment rate for February was 5.8 %, an increase of half of a percent from the previous month.
The jobless rate rose in 50 counties, dropped in three and remained unchanged in two.
Here are the jobless figures for Mingo and surrounding counties.
Mingo 5.8 % = + .7 %
Logan 5.7 % = + .6 %
Wayne 6.2 % = + .5 %
Boone 5.3 % = + . 6 %
McDowell 8.1 % = + .4 %
Calhoun had the highest unemployment rate at 11.2 %
The lowest was reported in Monongalia 3.4 %
