Pike County Grand Jury Indictments.
Twenty people were recently indicted by a Pike County grand jury.
One of the people that had chaqrges brought against him was Louie Clinton Gauze II , 36, of Huddy. Gauze was arrested last week by the Pike County Sheriff's Department. Authorities believe that he is responsible for stealing six hundred feet of telephone line in the Millard area. Gauze has been charged with receiving stolen property wcich is a Class D Felony.
An inmate in the Pike County Detention Center that was busted a few months ago for having a family member smuggle drugs into him has been indicted.
Nicholas R. Ortega, 38, and a family member Mary Conley Ortega Akers, 37, of Pikeville face four drug charges.
Count I First degree trafficking in a controlled substance including cocaine and oxycontin ( Class C Felony ).
Count II Second degree trafficking in a controlled substance including Lorcet ( Class D Felony )
Count III Third degree trafficking in a controlled substance including clonazepam ( Class A Misdemeanor )
Count IV Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ( Class A Misdemeanor )
