CSX Crossing At Lackey To Be Shutdown Wednesday For Repair.
CSX Transportation will close the crossing at the junction of KY 7 and KY 550 in Lackey, Floyd County , on Wednesday, March 5.
Jay Rutherford, CSX Roadmaster in Floyd County , said that the crossing is near the Mi-Dee Mart. Work is set to begin about 9 o’clock in the morning and should be finished by 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
“The crossing will be rehabilitated and repaved, so people should have a much smoother and safer surface over which to drive,” Rutherford said. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience, “and we want to thank people in advance for their patience and understanding. We feel the improvements will far outweigh the fact that traffic will have to detour and people might be inconvenienced for a few hours.”
