Pike County School District Received Small Amount Of Recalled Beef
Add Pike County to the list of school districts across the commonwealth that received a portion of contaminated beef. School officials said food workers were busy Wednesday pulling the beef from school kitchens.
None of the beef was served to students . USDA officials said that nearly 37 million pounds of the recalled beef went to the National School Lunch Program. 17 school districts across Kentucky received a small portion of the beef. The products were sent to wholesale distributors nationwide and bear the establishment number EST 336 inside the USDA mark of inspection.
