Stumbo Wins Democratic Nomination for 95th District House Seat.

Former Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo was nominated Saturday to run as the Democratic nominee in a special election for the 95th District House Seat on Feb 5th.

Stumbo defeated former house member Chuck Meade.

Meanwhile the Republican Party is struggling to produce a candidate for the special election.

Stumbo represented the district for over two decades before being elected as attorney general. Meade represented the 95th district from 2004 to 2007.

The office became vacant after Brandon Spencer resigned from office last month after serving one year of a two year term.
