The Kentucky lottery system is on track to set new records. Scratch-off tickets are fueling the surge.
The instant games are outselling more traditional games like Powerball, Pick 3 and Pick 4. The sales represent a 4.4% bump over the same period last year.
Officials estimate lottery sales are on pace to reach $770-million, which would break the record of $744.2-million set last year.
