Mingo County Filing Period for Candidates Announced.
Candidates in Mingo County that are interested in running for public office are reminded that the filing period for the May 2008 Primary election will begin Jan 14th and run through Jan 26th.
The seats of William Duty and Mitchell Chapman are up on the bipartisan Mingo County Board of Education. The local board is not allowed to make major decisions of its own due to the state board being in local control.
The following county offices are up for grabs :Circuit Judge, Assessor, Prosecutor, Commission, Family Court Judge and all three county Magistrates
