Kentucky Legislator Advocates Teenage Drinking In Military

State Representative David Floyd, of Bardstown, has pre-filed a bill for the 2008 session that would allow active-duty military personnel to drink beer in a bar as long as they possess a valid military ID card.

Floyd's position is...if a soldier is old enough to serve in the militry, they should be allowed to have a beer in public...even if they're not the leagal drinking age of 21.

He also said, most military people are responsible for their own welfare and own homes, so, it's only natural to allow them the responsibility to drink in Kentucky.
