Coal Production Fell In Kentucky.
According to numbers released by the United States Energy Information Administration, coal production in Kentucky dropped by 5.2 percent in 2007.
Kentucky coal miners mined 110.8 million tons of coal.
Coal production in Virginia dropped by 10 percent, While production in West Virginia increased by nearly one percent.
Wyoming, the nation's biggest producer mined 433.1 million tons of coal.
Coal production declined nationwide by 1.4 percent.
