Kentucky's Unemployment Rate Fell for Month of October.
Workforce Kentucky announced today that the unemployment rate for the month of October dropped from 6.1 % to 5.6 %. The national average is 4.7 %.

According to Workforce Kentucky 1,900 jobs were added for the month.
The government sector which includes public education added over 1,000 jobs. The mining industry saw an increase of 300 jobs.
