Beshear Defeats Fletcher.
Steve Beshear will become Kentucky's 61st governor as the Democratic challenger easily defeated Incumbent Ernie Fletcher. With 83.5 percent of the precincts reporting Beshear held a 59.4% - 40.6% lead.
Voter turnout was very light as only 31 % of registered voters went to the polls.
