Shelby Valley Marching Band To Compete in State Competition.
The Shelby Valley Wildcats Marching Band will be vying for a Class AA title this weekend. Last weekend the band finished third behind Carroll County and Morgan County in the Class AA East Regionals which was held at Beechwood High School located in Covington.
The band which consists of 27 members will participate in the KHSAA State Semi-Finals to be held Saturday at Ballard High School located in Louisville. The Pike County School will perform at 1:15 pm. If SVHS advances they will perform later that day in the state finals which will be held at Papa John Stadium.
Last year the Marching Wildcats finished 14th in state competition.
