Mingo County Accident Claims One Life.
A single vehicle accident on Rt 52 at Maher claimed one life and sent another to the hospital. According to the West Virginia, Charles and Tammy Rose both of Stonecoal was traveling south on Rt 52. Charles, the driver lost control of the vehicle it slammed into a guardrail ejecting him through the sunroof.
Tammy Rose a passenger was killed instantly as a piece of the rail went through inside of the vehicle striking her. She was only 32.
Charles was transported by helicopter to a hospital. Authorities told us that he suffered a broken hip
Sgt. J.C. Dotson of the WVSP is the investigating officer. The accident is still under investigation.
