Massey Planning to Build Regional Office in Boone County.
Massey Energy is planning to build a regional headquarters for its southern West Virginia and eastern Kentucky operations.
Company officials says about 100 employees from its Chapmanville and Charleston offices will move to a new 51,000 – square foot headquarters in Boone County next summer.
CEO Don Blankenship says a central location closer to Massey’s operations will better support the company’s expected growth.
Massey is the nation’s fourth-largest coal producer.
