Johnson County Man Pleads Guilty After Jury Deadlocks.
A Johnson County man accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to receiving a firearm stolen from the Frankfort Police Department. Gordon Stapleton pleaded guilty after a jury couldn’t reach a verdict in his trial.
The 51 year-old was offered three years probation and he can’t be charged with a Class D misdemeanor or above.
Stapleton stated that he purchased the firearm last year from a stockyard and that he had no knowledge of the gun being stolen.
