Pike County Coroner has confirmed to EKB that the victim that died in a house fire this past weekend at McAndrews was the body of 54 year-old Sidney Gary Williamson. A neighbor told other media outlets that Williamson was the victim. EKB waited until official confirmation by authorities before speculating a name of the victim. Richard Peddicord, Assistant State Fire Marshal informed us that foul play is nit expected to be involved and that the cause of origin of the blaze is expected to be released Wednesday. Williamson’s body was taken to Frankfort where a autopsy was performed to determine identification and cause of death. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office would not disclose cause of death.
