Peggy Vanhoose Trial to Begin Tuesday in Federal Court in Pikeville.
The trial of a former finance director, for the Johnson County School System, is scheduled to get underway Tuesday in federal court in Pikeville. Peggy Vanhoose is accused of embezzling $500,000 and making checks out to her son while he was in jail. Vanhoose served as finance director from 1993-2005. A 14 member jury was selected Monday afternoon. The trial is expected to last one week and is being presided over by Judge Greg Tatenhoven. A co-defendant is expected to stand trial next month.
