Former Inmate of Big Sandy Prison Pleads Not Guilty to Murder.
A former prisoner at the Big Sandy Penitentiary located in Martin County recently pleaded not guilty in connection to the October 2006 murder of another inmate. Terrell Lamar Johnson entered the plea in federal court in London.
A jury trial is scheduled for Oct 2,at 9:00am. Johnson has been incarcerated in McCreary County since the incident.
The indictment alleges that the defendant stabbed fellow inmate Calvin Speight during an altercation.
Johnson was currently serving an 84 month prison sentence for bank robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a robbery. If convicted, Johnson faces up to life in prison.
