Floyd County Man Pleads Guilty to Rape.
A Floyd County man made a plea agreement with the Pike County Commonwealth Attorney. John Hamp pleaded guilty to first degree rape of a Pike County woman. The Commonwealth is recommending a prison sentence of 10 years.
The incident took place in October of 2006. According to the Commonwealth’s office , the victim was able to dial 911 while the assault was taking place.
A sentencing hearing will be conducted by Circuit Court Judge Steve Combs.
