16 People Killed Last Week on Kentucky Highways

Preliminary statistics indicate that 16 people died in 14 separate crashes on Kentucky’s roadways last week.

Twelve of the fatalities involved motor vehicles and six of the victims were not wearing safety belts. Three of the four motorcycle fatalities were not wearing a helmet. One of the fatalities involved alcohol.

Through Aug 12th, statistics indicate that 524 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways. This is 27 fewer than last year.
